This article covers the following topics:

Charge Now- Cancellation Fee < Class Price: Auto Refund is On

In this scenario, we have some basic assumptions; Your Late Cancellation fee is set to Charge Now and Auto Refund is ON.

Customer Mark had previously booked and paid for a class worth $25. However, Mark later realized that he would not be able to make it to class on the given date and decided to cancel the class within the Late Cancellation Window

There was a charge of $10 for a Late Cancellation Fee, and since Mark had already paid more than the cancellation fee our merchant Jane owed him a refund of $15.

Due to Auto Refund being ON in the branch setting Mark was automatically refunded the $15.

Charge Later- Cancellation Fee < Class Price: Auto Refund is Off

In this scenario, we have some basic assumptions; Your Late Cancellation fee is set to Charge Later and Auto Refund is OFF.

Our client Mark had previously booked and paid for a class worth $25. However, Mark later realized that he would not be able to make it to class on the given date and decided to cancel the class within the Late Cancellation Window. There was a charge of $10 for a Late Cancellation Fee, and since Mark had already paid more than the cancellation fee our merchant Jane owed him a refund of $15.

Due to Auto Refund being OFF in the branch setting Jane went to the Point of Sale Module and clicked on the Invoices Segment. From here she used the Search Filter to search for Mark's invoice. Since the balance due is a negative amount, the invoice status is ‘Over Paid.' Jane went ahead and manually refunded the $15.
